English-Spanish news magazine

MANILA, Philippines — Spanish is the second-most spoken language in the world, and the Philippines certainly has its own fair share of Spanish speakers. In order to bring them together, La Jornada Filipina was launched today.

The publication will be providing local news coverage to the Hispanic community and will be covering wide range of topics such as arts, culture, entertainment, technology and travel. In order to reach non-Spanish-speaking Filipinos, La Jornada Filipina will also be published in English.

“I identify as Hispanic Filipino myself, and I was disappointed that there are no media outlets available that cater to me. I knew then that it was the right time to do it myself,” said Arvyn Cerézo, the Editor-In-Chief of the publication. “I hope that the publication will improve the state of Spanish in the country,” Cerézo added.

For commissions and collaborations, e-mail the publication at [email protected].
